half of the year gone already. the beginning of summer was particularly hectic with personal + extended work trips that essentially left me living out of my suitcase for about 1.5 months. don't get me wrong, i'm always grateful for any opportunity to get away, but i'm extra happy to be spending the rest of the summer locally this year. hot + sweaty new york heat, bring it on!
après-summer rain in midtown
after a crazy summer rain storm in june, the clouds left the sky the prettiest shades of pale pink and lavender. if we're friends on instagram, you might remember me yelling on instastories, "the sky is millenial pink!!" it was a very stunning sunset.
july 4th weekend in point pleasant
an extended weekend in a beach house with 14 friends, endless bbq-ing and getting some much-needed vitamin d by the pool and beach. good times, guys.
linh and her awesome swan
a weekend in hudson
bestie time with rosa in hudson. it was my first time visiting this charming town and i can't wait to go back. there are too many beautiful shops and yummy eats on warren street to cover on just 1 weekend, so fingers crossed i'll back in the fall.
rivertown lodge. i will be back.
herb frittata for breakfast. i will dream of this every morning, thanks.
minna goods, where many palo santo sticks and cards were purchased. love their woven goods, too.
the world needs more stores like talbott & arding. definitely felt the bourbon heat from the chocolate bourbon bites shown below! yumm.
i loveddddd stumbling in 2 note on warren street, meeting the co-founder carolyn and chatting bout music and natural beauty with her. shopping wasn't on the agenda for this weekend, but i couldn't help picking up some goodies from her. the mano salve and lotion stick are my faves, in addition to the beeswax candles. (fun fact: beeswax candles purify the air and last a lot longer than soy!)
mutiny, a beautiful lifestyle, home, + apparel store.
the best dinner after getting caught in a downpour: spicy, tasty malaysian eats at backbar. the shaved pork shoulder, cucumbers, and chicken wings were my favorites.
if you enjoy a cocktail here and there, their cocktail selection is bomb.
because pizza is always a good idea, and oak's pizza is especially exceptional.
i always love a multi-functional garment. this dress by avant garde nordic designer barbara gongini can be worn as long sleeves, backless halter, 1-shoulder… among other ways i haven't discovered yet!
